Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a website cost?
If I had a dollar for every time I have been asked this question, I wouldn't need to be a web designer! It is like asking a realtor how much a house costs - it depends entirely on what you're looking for. The simplest answer is that it varies. All projects are quoted based on estimated hours spent working. The more complex or larger your site is, the more hours will be needed. If you just need a small, informational site, your cost will be much lower than someone who needs an interactive site with a forum and shopping cart. I know this doesn't entirely answer the question, but if you Request a Quote, I will be happy to give you a price estimate based on your specific needs.
How long does it take to make a website?
Again, this depends on the complexity and size of your project. The average project takes about 4-6 weeks from quote to launch and is usually dependent on the client.
Why isn't my website on the first page of Google results?
Simply having a website does not mean you will appear in search engine results. The key to appearing high in search engine results is effective Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The most common misconception about SEO is that your site will rank high in search results overnight. This is a complete fallacy - effective SEO takes time and effort. All websites created by Halo Media Design include an extensive SEO effort with Pay-Per-Click Advertising and Social Media Marketing available for an additional charge. We will work together to determine your goals and implement the necessary techniques to see them achieved.
